Hanne Varming Sculpture

Family,(Familie)  Bronze statue by Hanne Varming, 1983. Hjørring
This family on a bench is expressed in a way that one wants to sit with them and be a part of their family. With simplicity and strength, this sculpture shows unity, but one may also see some disagreement between the children.

Hanne Varming's sculptures are recognizable sculptures characterised by their quiet expression that enough is simplified, but at the same time contains general human emotions and situations. The two children are separated from their parents, but it does not change the fact that they communicate across the sculpture. Is it the dog, they disagree about?
