Skate Park on Tordenskjoldsgade
Skatepark on Tordenskjoldsgade
Have you ever wondered how it was like to be skateboarding in the 1970's Los Angeles? If so, we suggest you visit the Skate-park in Tordenskjoldsgade, Horsens, which holds Denmark’s only concrete pool. Here you can get the real old school skateboarding experience. The Skate-park – also known as T.G. - is an attraction in the skater-environment, as it is the only place in the country, where you can skate in a pool. This gives a feeling of 1970’s Los Angeles, when the town was hit by water-shortage, and as a consequence of this many pools were empty. The creative skaters used this to create new playgrounds in the soft, curved, dried out concrete holes. This little known attraction in Horsens was visited by amongst others, Denmark’s most well known skater Rune Glifbjerg. Besides the pool, you will find many other skateboard elements, as a Fun Box - which is an asphalt-box with sloping sides,- a flat ground area where you can move different elements, and there are soft curves in concrete where skaters enjoy themselves.
There is free admission to the park which you will find in the Tordenskjoldsgade in Horsens.
