The ice rink at Genforeningspladsen
Genforeningspladsen ice skating rink in Northwest Copenhagen is Northern Europe's largest artificial ice rink. All winter you can ice skate - using your own or rented skates.
Bring your own skates or rent a pair for DKK 50 per hour (or DKK 75 for two hours), and skate around in the fresh winter air. The ice rink can be used for both plain skating and speed skating, but not for ice hockey.
At the ice skate rental shop, you can also have your own skates sharpened for DKK 50 if they need some freshening up. Here, you can rent a pair of skates until 19:00, and the ice skate rental closes at 20:00. You can only pay cash.
The lights by the ice rink are turned off at 22:00.
There might be changes in the planned opening and closing dates of the ice skating rink, if the weather is too warm.
Please also note the changed opening hours during the Christmas holidays:
