The Herb Garden in Nørresundby – a glimpse of the past. In Aalborg’s neighbouring town Nørresundby, you will find ‘Urtehaven’ – a unique garden with more than 300 different medicinal herbs.
The garden is handicap-friendly with focus on visually handicapped in the constructed garden for sightless people. It is possible to feel the presence of history in the garden and relax in areas with beautiful nature with tables and benches for general use.
A stop at Snapseruten
Besides this, ‘Urtehaven’ is one of the stops at ‘Snapseruten’ (The schnapps route). In connection with ‘Urtehaven’ one will also come across ‘Raschgaarden’, ‘Pibemagerhuset’ and ‘Brohuset which are parts of ‘Sundby Samlingerne’ that all are worth a visit. It is possible to get to ‘Urtehaven’ by car, bicycle, by bus number 13 towards Uttrup Nord or on foot.

The museum houses open for the season on Maundy Thursday.
The garden is open on Easter Day, on Ascension Day as well as on the fourth Friday after Easter.
Open Saturdays from Easter until 30 June.
From 1 July-31 August, open every day except Mondays.
From 1 September-31 October open Saturdays.
The opening hours are 14-16 on all opening days.
