Jens Olsen - Astromechanic who built the famous world clock that stands in Copenhagen City Hall. Jens Olsen was born in Ribe in 1872 and was apprenticed in the town. He spent 160,000 working hours building the world clock, but unfortunately he never saw his life’s work completed.

Jens Olsen had passed away by the time King Frederik IX started the clock in December 1955.
